Framing
At Forge Framing & Gallery we offer a full inhouse framing service. We will frame anything from; oil paintings, photos, prints, rugby shirts, batiks, medals the list goes on and on.

CASSESE - CS88 - this piece of equipment pins the frame tightly together using stainless steele wedges thereby giving a perfect fit. www.cassese.com
KEENCUT EXCALIBUR 5000 - this machine cuts glass, mount board and backing board accurately and safely to achieve a perfect fit to the frame. www.keencut.com
WIZARD - the Wizard is a computerised mount cutter, which is capable of cutting thousands of different types of mount styles. For e.g. multi aperture mounts, triple mounts, oval mounts, circular, all to an exacting tolerance. MORSO - the Morso quillotine cuts the length of mouldings to give a precise mitred corner of the frame, which means no unsightly gaps when joined - the Morso is considered to be the best. www.morso-guillotines.dk

DRY MOUNTING is achieved using a machine called a Hot Press which bonds posters, prints and photographs, by using heat and vacuum. It heats up an adhesive tissue under the prints and then extracts the air out of the hot press, thereby creating a perfectly flat finish. www.hotpress.co.uk

HANDMADE CLOSED CORNER FRAMES
I can offer a range of the finest frames available. These are hand finished in the UK. Each frame is made to order and special finishes are added after the frame has been constructed to give the best finish. This method ensures that the corners are closed, ie the finish covers the mitre joints, leaving a perfect solid look to the frame. These special frames are a luxury item and as such are in high demand from discerning art collectors.
